Got milk?

Girl Scout cookies are delicious, no doubt. But there’s more to the annual cookie sale drive than what’s in the box, according to Jessa Rank, service unit director for Sonoma Valley. “When a girl sells cookies, she’s creating a plan, interacting with customers, and working as part of a team. She’s building a lifetime of skills and confidence.”

In addition to the traditional door-to-door sales, the scouts will offer drive-thru booths for cookie sales at Lucky, Safeway, Sonoma Market, Glen Ellen Village Market, Wells Fargo Bank, Westamerica Bank, Chase Bank, Staples, Friedman’s and more. On Saturdays and Sundays, there will be a booth at the Sonoma Auto Center lot at Broadway and MacArthur. Cookies are $4 box, and have no trans fat or high fructose corn syrup. “It’s really win-win for our customers,” Rank said. “They get delicious cookies and girls gain skills that will help them into their adult lives. We are also so proud that the girls use quite a bit of their profits to fund projects for the community.”
