Sonomans now have another excuse to day drink (or start drinking early): Crisp Bakeshop is now serving wine.

I can already see myself taking cover from the impending El Niño rain with a glass of Tin Barn Vineyard’s Zinfandel while enjoying a tasty sandwich or pizza, all made in house.

“As our lunches became more popular, we thought this was a great service to offer our customers – and sparkling wine and mimosas just seemed like a great pairing with our morning pastries,” Pastry Chef and Proprietor of Crisp Andrea Koweek shared with the Sonoma Valley Sun.

Crisp is offering local wines from Bump Cellars, Annadel Estate Winery, Tin Barn Vineyards, Gloria Ferrer, Muscardini Cellars, Sojourn Cellars, Beltane Ranch – and if you are in need of a perfect pairing for a sweet treat, they’re serving Anaba’s Late Harvest Viognier.

From now until the end of a year, if you purchase a glass of wine and a sandwich, they’ll reward you with a free chocolate chunk cookie!

Any excuse to devour one of their homemade sandwich cookies (like a giant Oreo, but made with real black cocoa and vanilla bean cream!) with a side of Gloria Ferrer bubbly and I’m in.

Crisp Bakeshop is open from 7:30AM-2PM Sun.-Tue. and 7:30AM-4:30PM Wed.-Sat. 720 W. Napa St, Sonoma. 933-9999. crispbakeshop.com.
