New hires at high school

Posted on July 4, 2017 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Sonoma Valley High School will have two new vice principals when classes begin August 14: Aaron Gildengorin and Paul Tuohy.

Gildengorin comes to Sonoma Valley from the Life Learning Academy in San Francisco where he served as assistant principal and social studies teacher. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 2006 from the University of Redlands; his teaching credential from San Francisco State University (SFSU) in 2007; and his Master’s degree and administrative credential in 2015 also from SFSU.

Tuohy comes to SVHS from the District office where held the Coordinator of Student Services position. His return to SVHS adds experience and insight that ensures a smooth transition for the new administrative team, said Principal Kathleen Hawing

Hawing said she is “more than pleased” with the administrative team, and looks forward to a strong, visible, and experienced administrative team.

Jessica Hutchinson will continue as one of the three vice principals. The other two openings were created by the appointment of Andrew Ryan as principal of Sassarini Elementary, and the resignation of Chris Rauschenfels, who is relocating to the Sacramento area.
