The County of Sonoma invites community members to gather to observe the two-year anniversary of the Sonoma Complex Fires at a brief ceremony at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in Courthouse Square in Downtown Santa Rosa.

The gathering will include a moment of silence and a ceremony with local firefighters to remember those who lost their lives in the fires.

Also on Tuesday, October 8, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will hold a moment of silence at its regularly scheduled meeting. At approximately 8:30 a.m., the Board will call for 44 seconds of silence, in solemn memory of the 44 people who lost their lives to these fires.
