Political writer’s election preview

Posted on November 2, 2019 by Sonoma Valley Sun
The Praxis Peace Institute lecture with political author George Lakoff is Sunday, November 10 (new date).
Lakoff is the author of many books, including the New York Times bestsellers Don’t Think of an Elephant, The Political Mind, Moral Politics, Metaphors We Live By, and others.
He is a world-renowned cognitive scientist and professor of linguistics. Recently retired as the Distinguished Professor of Cognitive Science and Linguistics at UC Berkeley and is now Director of the Center for the Neural Mind & Society.
A deep thinker and meticulous researcher, Lakoff is also a riveting presenter, says Praxis’ Georgia Kelly. “He deeply understands the politics of our time and the underlying beliefs that define them.”
In an all-new presentation, Lakoff will talk about the factors defining, confining, and elucidating the 2020 campaigns. There will be an audience Q&A. Lakoff’s books will be available for purchase and signing.
3 p.m. Vintage House, 264 First St., E., Sonoma. $20.
