‘Seeds of Learning’ dinner and auction event

Posted on January 18, 2020 by Sonoma Valley Sun
The Sonoma-based international nonprofit, Seeds of Learning will host a fundraising dinner and auction on Saturday, January 25.
The group invites anyone who is interested to come and hear about our work in Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and beyond as well as with local students. Proceeds from the event will help to increase access to education in Nicaragua and cross-cultural understanding locally.
The annual dinner is also an opportunity to thank and celebrate the many donors and volunteers who have helped support Seeds of Learning over the years.
The event will be held on Saturday, January 25th, from 5 to 8:30 pm at The Hanna Boys Center (17000 Arnold Drive) in Sonoma.  Tickets are available for $125. For more information, call 939-0471, or email [email protected].
Based in Sonoma, SOL has been working since 1991 to increase access to education and cross-cultural understanding.  To date, SOL has constructed 239 educational rooms, and offered more than 1,624 scholarships to students in Nicaragua and El Salvador. Each year, SOL also hosts groups of North American volunteers, including groups of students from Sonoma Valley High School and Adele Harrison Middle School (for the first time this year) who participate in the program.
