The ‘new normal’ school lunch

Posted on March 24, 2020 by Sonoma Valley Sun

A crew at Sassarini Elementary School in Sonoma readies to provide drive-through “to go” meals for students, a response to the School District shutdown. The service is offered free

weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sassarini, Altimira Middle School and Adele Harrison Middle School. A school-aged child must be present when making collections, as the meals are intended for children only, and appropriate social distancing should be observed when picking up. Students also can pick up homework packets in the same pick-up line, as needed.

All school will be closed at minimum through April 7, the District has announced.
