Vote for Johnson

Posted on November 1, 2020 by Sonoma Valley Sun

I would vote 100 times over for Britta Johnson for School Board Area 5 Trustee. I’ve known her for 20 years through Prestwood, Adele, SVHS, kids’ sports teams, and activities. Britta and I even played together for several years on an indoor women’s soccer team.

She is one of those women that you say, “How does she do it all?” Always very active in schools volunteering in classrooms, fundraisers, events, and boards, all the while having a full-time job. She cares deeply for all children growing up in Sonoma and our public schools.

Her range of knowledge is impressive, from board meetings to a classroom reading program.  The improvements to our District in her first term — including fixing the budget, giving teachers raises, and pushing for long-overdue reforms – are proof enough that she is the best person for this position.

Even more important is that she is a woman of character. She is smart, professional, friendly, caring, funny, speaks eloquently, strong, and has no problem standing up for the right of every child in this District. I have witnessed this over and over the past 20 years. She is also tenacious and will never give up until the job is done; just like she plays on the soccer field!

My grandson, Theo, will be attending elementary school next year and I would feel so reassured with Britta on the School Board.

I highly endorse Britta Johnson for Area 5 Trustee.
