Update: Boyes Blvd. bridge project

The Boyes Bridge will reopen in early July, according to Supervisor Susan Gorin.

There will be some minor road work remaining, but County Transportation and Public Works confirms that the project is on schedule to meet the target date when the rebuild began in September of 2019.

Along the way, the project had to shut down twice for Covid-19 exposures and once for the 2020 Glass Fire. There have also been materials shortages due to Covid-19 and delays due to utility relocation, Gorin said. “Despite all that, we are looking forward to this vital route being reopened again this summer.”
