Posted on May 10, 2021 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Outdoor, in-person art workshops continue at Jack London Park

“These workshops will give people an opportunity to stretch their legs and expand their creativity,” said Jill Valavanis, fine arts coordinator at Sonoma Community Center, the series presenter. Subsequent sessions will be held May 15 and June 5.

The theme for May 15 is  Drawing, Naturally: Observational Drawing in Nature from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Class Fee: $125 per person. Level: Beginning to Intermediate. Age: Adults and Teens.

“We are delighted to partner with Jack London Park to offer immersive art-making experiences where participants learn new art techniques as they learn about the natural surroundings,” Valavanis said.

Saturday, June 5: Botanical Monotype Printmaking

To register for each of the workshops, visit www.sonomacommunitycenter.org.

A $10 per vehicle entry fee to the park is not included in the class fee.  Extreme weather conditions may cause the workshops to be postponed.
