Registration now open for Boys & Girls Club’s Jr. basketball league

Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley has opened sign-ups for its Junior Basketball League.

Junior Basketball is a recreational league that’s open to boys and girls in K – 3rd grade and is designed to foster teamwork, good sportsmanship, and healthy recreational habits. The fall 2021 season begins November 15, 2021 and runs through January 2022.

BGCSV offers year-round athletic activities for youth, including leagues, tournaments, and camps. The organization serves an average of 640 children and teens per year in partnership with the City of Sonoma to foster the physical, social, and psychological development of our local youth.

Boys & Girls Clubs sports have a fee of $150 per player, plus an annual membership fee of $25. Thanks to the generous support of our community, scholarships are available, and no child will ever be turned away due to an inability to pay.

Community support is needed to help ensure the success of these leagues. Opportunities include team and league sponsorships, and volunteer coaches and referees.
