Motor problems in hand: the causes

Weakness and pain in the hand can cause many problems, and the patients often fail to grip something due to their hand conditions. Most of these concerns are regarded as neurological difficulties. 

For patients like this, it is hard for them to absorb normally, and as such, they cannot perform regular tasks adequately. The injuries typically come as regular hand pain symptoms like sprained finger symptoms. Later, the symptoms become more intense, and the pain and inefficiency also increase with time.

The human hand has a complex structure as it contains twenty-seven bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, connective tissues, nerves, etc. And the pain or disability of functioning arrives from these parts of the hands. Some conditions are congenital, and some even gather around with age and time.

Carpal tunnel syndrome 

Here the disorder puts pressure on the median nerves. Here the swelling takes place on the carpal nerves, and as it is situated on the passageway of the wrist, the hands feel sudden tangling and numbness on the wrists. There is also a pungent feeling of pressure on the hands and fingers.

The symptoms are numbness, tangling, burn on the fingers, a sharp pain on the wrist and hands, pain in the forearms, etc. Other symptoms are a reduction in gripping and trouble while doing small tasks with hands. In severe cases, the thumbs usually lose the feeling of the muscles.

Ganglion cysts

They can emerge in any portion of the hand-wrist, fingers, the upper side of the wrist, etc. They are not always painful, but sometimes they are quite visible. Furthermore, they change their sizes and shapes, and they are full of fluid. If the cysts are large enough to put pressure on the nerves, they cause problems in the motor systems of the nerves.

The symptoms are tangling, pain, muscle weakness, etc. If they are only on the cosmetic side of the hands, they do not possess any threats. But if they are around any nerve, they’ll cause troubles. 

Lupus

This is an autoimmune disease that involves the healthy cells of the body. They cause inflammation on the whole body when the condition starts to affect. The inflammation can induce pain in the wrist, joints, and feet. This also thickens the joints, which causes hindrance to the movement of the limbs.

The symptoms are fever, muscle pain, pale skin, hair loss, and fatigue, swelling in the legs and eyes. Lupus can cause severe problems, and it can even damage vital organs.

Arthritis 

Osteoarthritis causes motor dysfunction in the hands. There are more than a hundred types of arthritis, and all of them derives from neurotoxins. Arthritis diminishes the motion of the patients in most cases and discharges a sensation that causes the pain to be very compelling.

The symptoms are warmth around the joints, swelling, cysts, pain, etc.
