A butcher descends on Ukraine

The butcher Putin wantonly murders civilians in Ukraine, like a small medieval czar – and we stand by, send weapons and drink our wine.  The butcher Putin murders women and children, and steals Ukrainian men from their families – and NATO offers soup and safe haven for the few who leave.  The butcher Putin rounds up the mayors of cities, to be soon followed by the intelligentsia, the resisters, the patriots, just like the Nazis did in Poland in WWII – and the entire world sits and cries, and goes back to their breakfast.  The butcher Putin knows that no level of savagery will bring the US or NATO to fight him militarily.  And so, as under Hitler, we are left to say:

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”

How long will it be before the Butcher comes for us – if we do nothing?
