Back to School Health Fair set for August 13

Family health resources, emergency preparedness info, and a school-supply giveaway highlight the 7th Annual Back to School Health Fair, August 13 at Altimira Middle School.

The free event is hosted by Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, in partnership with Sonoma Valley Unified School District, Sonoma Valley Hospital, Sonoma Community Center, FISH of Sonoma Valley, La Luz Center, 4C’s of Sonoma County, Sonoma Mentoring Alliance, Sonoma Ecology Center, and RISK Sonoma and Boys & Girls Club of Sonoma Valley.

There will be a variety of health services and activities including: school supplies giveaway, interactive activities, emergency preparedness, health education and healthy snacks, fluoride treatments, Covid-19 and Tdap vaccines, and posture screenings.

The fair will take place on Saturday, August 13 from 12pm -2:30 at Altimira, 17805 Arnold Dr.

The event is bilingual and is open to all Sonoma Valley students. The student must be present with a completed Back-to-School Health Fair passport to receive a backpack. 

No appointments are necessary. A parent must be present to sign the consent forms for all screenings and vaccines. Tdap vaccine will be for students entering the 7th grade.
