Best-selling authors go back to school

Eight best-selling authors visited students at Sonoma Valley High School for a day of literary exploration, learning and conversations on Friday, August 26.
The annual outing was part of the Sonoma Valley Authors Festival.
Chris Gardner (at top), Dr. David Eagleman, Mary Roach, Nikki Erlick, Rick Stevenson, Jaron Lanier, Tracy K. Smith and astrophysicist Alex Filippenko spoke and interacted with 1,400 students during multiple sessions. Three thousand books, written by the presenting authors, were given free to the students, all paid for with private donations.
