One weekend, two miracles

Posted on November 24, 2022 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Pets Lifeline is throwing a miracle, two if you count the Santa sighting. The nonprofit shelter hosts its annual ‘Miracle on 8th Street’ holiday events to raise funds and encourage pet adoptions on December 2 and 3.

The seasonal festivities begin on Friday, December 2, with Pets Lifeline’s annual Miracle on 8th Street Gala at 6pm. The organization’s recently renovated facility will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland with a gourmet dinner catered by the Sonoma restaurant, the girl & the fig, with fun festivities including a photo booth, a small elegant auction, and Secret Santa prizes.

Tickets are now available to purchase for $275 via this link.

Saturday, December 3, brings more holiday fun. In partnership with Lions Club, Sonoma Valley Fire Department, and Sonoma Teen Services, Pets Lifeline will host Breakfast with Santa from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. featuring a delicious breakfast buffet with pancakes, eggs, muffins, and more.

Later that afternoon, guests are encouraged to bring their dogs, cats, ferrets, etc. by for photo opportunities with Santa. The Santa Paws event will run from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The festivities culminate that evening with a Naughty Santa Dance Party for ages 21+ from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The event will feature music by DJ JD, small bites, and libations. Tickets are available to purchase for $50 via this link with all proceeds going toward the shelter.

“We are excited to host a weekend of holiday fun, all in the name of raising funds to support the animals at Pets Lifeline,” said Nancy King, CEO of Pets Lifeline. “This year, we have seen an increased influx of animals surrendered, mainly due to the impacts of the pandemic and the current economic uncertainty.

“It is vital to raise awareness and support to help these animals find resources and loving homes in time for the holiday season.”

Pets Lifeline’s newly renovated state-of-the-art facility opened in 2021 and has transformed the organization’s home from a makeshift shelter to a modern animal resource center.
