Join us on Thursday November 13 at Jack London State Historic Park for a fascinating presentation that shines a light on one of our most captivating neighbors, the American Black Bear (Ursus americanus).
Naturalist and educator Meghan Walla-Murphy, co-founder of the North Bay Bear Collaborative, will guide us through the lives of these remarkable animals and the growing efforts to understand and coexist with them here in the North Bay. The Collaborative’s work includes collecting bear scat for DNA analysis, studying population genetics, and promoting coexistence through education and practical management tools.
