Vintners & Growers name 2011 board

The Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Alliance announced today that Eva Bertran of Gloria Ferrer Caves and Vineyards has been elected to lead the organization as board president for 2011.

“I am excited to be the president of the SVVGA board,” said Bertran. “We have a great board in place and a committed membership and staff

The SVVGA is a non-profit trade association representing over 90 wineries and 140 grape growers.

“As a team, we cover a cross-section of growers, vintners and different aspects of our business and look forward to a very exciting year in 2011,” Bertran said.

Other board officers elected include Paul Hoffman of Hoffman Family Cellars, vice president; Mark Stornetta of Alain Pinel Realtors, re-elected as treasurer; and Mike Pucci of Sangiacomo Vineyards, re-elected as secretary.

Additional new board members are Brian Shepard of Jack London Vineyards and Doug Nickle of Bennett Valley Cellars.
