Cohn events raise $35k for Ed Foundation

In an annual holiday tradition, philanthropist, vintner and concert promoter Bruce Cohn distributed a portion of the proceeds from his 26th Annual B.R Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival. The October event raised $35,000 for the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation.

“As the political discussions in our communities on education amplify, it reinforces to me the need to keep supporting outside-the-box organizations that help fill the need and bang the drum for improvement,” Cohn said. “This is why I support the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation.”

Accepting the donation check from Cohn, foundation Executive Director Linda Zimmerman said, “We are so grateful to all our donors, but especially Bruce and his team at B.R. Cohn Charity Events. The concert weekend and their support are vital to our Valley and our kids.”

Over the years Cohn has been able to raise over six million dollars for various local and national charities including national veteran’s organizations. Proceeds from this year’s festival will be spread among several charities including: Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Guardsmen, Operation Homefront, and American Legion Post 489.
