Firearms can and do save lives

Editor:The anti-gunner politicians along with the progressive liberal media are using scare tactics, and tragedies to demonize the firearm industry.
The lame stream media has not and will not report positive gun news. ABC, CBS & NBC will not even accept advertising by the National Rifle Association (NRA)!
Have you ever seen on the TV news or heard on the radio that John Doe saved his and his families life by being armed? Just the show of a firearm usually stops the would be bad guy from going forth with his or her criminal intent.
An eye opening recent AP report showed that about 87 people per day die of gunshot wounds. About 30 are murdered, 50 take their own life, and the rest are from other causes such as police intervention or accidental shootings.
While it is tragic that this many Americans die by firearms we must focus on the good; 2,191 Americans use their guns every day in self-defense. That is almost 800,000 per year. Guns can and do save lives. I thank God and the founding fathers for the 2nd. Amendment!
