Comedy at the pub

Politically correct? Not so much. Comedian Thai Rivera describes himself as “a comic who happens to be a fag and not a fag comic.”

As for the homeless, “I can’t stand them. I don’t mind saying it because I give homeless people money, so I feel, as a paying customer, I have a right to complain.”

The Arizona native was discovered on the L.A. club circuit; he was on the Jo Koy Comedy Tour, and has been featured on Comedy Central’s “Live At Gotham” and The Logo Network’s “One Night Stand up.” Rivera comes to Sonoma for three shows at Murphy’s Irish Pub: Friday, August 23 at 9 p.m. and Saturday, August 24 at 7 p.m, and 9:30 p.m.
