Fraud protection for seniors

Posted on September 15, 2013 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Fraud Protection & Resources, a workshop covering what to do if you are the victim of fraud, will be presented Thursday, September 26, 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Vintage House.

The session will be presented by Katie Knudson-Carruesco, the Northern California Education & Outreach Coordinator for the Department of Business Oversight. The BCO’s Seniors Against Investment Fraud program alerts and educates Californians over the age of 50 about financial and investment fraud, scams, and unscrupulous sales practices that specifically target seniors.
This helpful conversation and sharing of resources will be open to the community and is free of charge.

Call 996.0311 to reserve a space. Vintage House is located at 264 First Street East, Sonoma.
