The cost of free speech?

Posted on June 12, 2016 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Okay, Stan Pappas, doesn’t like “political correctness” (Letters 5/26) and then proceeds with the usual lame litany of put-downs of “Liberal politicians” and anything attributed to progressive thinking. He wants to be “free” to spout his likes and dislikes and ideas about leaf blowers, Obama, the coal industry or whatever, factually valid or not.

And his letter does just that. So how exactly has “political correctness stifled his free speech”? He’s mouthed off about the myriad things that make him “sick.”

Sorry about your health, Stan, but if PC has stifled you it doesn’t show, and as one of those liberals (not capitalized) I’ll defend to the death, figuratively, your right to say any stupid thing that wanders across your brainpan (within the bounds of legality).
