A message from La Luz
‘The past week has been has been strenuous on all us. And as the signs around town state: the love in the air is thicker than the smoke. We at La Luz have been working hard to meet the needs of everyone in our community during this time of crisis.
We’ve open our doors and have accepted donations and served as a distribution center. We continued to be a place of support and information, and through very generous donations we’re able to serve hot meals.
We have seen firsthand how our community comes together to share the love. And with that love, we now have an overabundance of supplies, however we continue to be in need of monetary donations. The funds collected will help us focus on individual assistance with disaster relief funds, application assistance, referrals and unemployment assistance.

La Luz Center (LLC) has set up a Fire Relief Fund to help out our affected community. If you need assistance please call 707-938-5131. If you are interested in making a donation to our Fire Relief fund please go to our Pay Pal, and make sure you note that your donation is going to our Fire Relief Fund.
During this time of devastation and crisis we are focusing on the following services: ‘disaster unemployment assistance’ as well as ‘individual assistance disaster relief funds’ application assistance, rental assistance referrals, and job placement referrals. LLC is providing hot meals and basic need items for our families that have been displaced, are without electricity, or need a safe day space.
We are also playing a key role in keeping both our English and Spanish community up to date with information – please like our Facebook page to be appraised of current information.
La Luz Center has the mission to be a catalyst for change in Sonoma Valley through health, education and financial security, and we are doing just that.
