On Saturday night, Sonoma’s historic Ledson house opened its doors for the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art’s 10th annual Wet Paint event. Set in the beautiful Armstrong Estates, Wet Paint is the single largest source of funding for programs at the museum.
The event began with a garden party, where guests drank sparkling wine and cocktails, while wandering the Ledson house gardens amongst artists who were finishing new work, a tradition that brought about the name for the Wet Paint event. After viewing the much-anticipated art and enjoying a meal prepared by some of the most celebrated local chefs, from restaurants such as The Girl and the Fig, Meritage, The General’s Daughter, Shiso, Cafe La Haye and Deuce, the main event of the night, the silent auction, began.
The auction, which provides a monumental amount of funding for the museum, featured many unique local art pieces as well as vacation packages for cruises and trips to Italy, Cabo, Newport Beach and other beautiful escapes. Guests ended the night with dessert and dancing, making Wet Paint not only a delight for the museum, but for all those in attendance as well.
