Club turns focus to school year

Posted on August 14, 2008 by Sonoma Valley Sun

At B&GCSV the focus continues to be on a commitment to academics and enrichment programs.  Beginning Aug. 20, the club will resume after-school programming at the four club locations (Maxwell Farms Regional Park, Springs Village Clubhouse, Sassarini and Flowery elementary schools). For a fee of  $90 per year, members can look forward to:
A four-week collaborative session with the Sonoma Ecology Center focusing on third and fourth grade curriculum.
New music recording equipment in the Intel Computer Clubhouse.
The Intel Computer Clubhouse Mentor in Training program, allowing members to share personal skill sets while gaining responsibility within the ICC. Instruction in Web design, animation, graphic design and recording will be available.
A daily Power Hour where members are broken out by grade level to complete homework assignments. Volunteers are needed. Please contact the Club if you are interested in helping.
A collaboration with Sonoma Dance Academy to introduce members to music and theater.
