Nominations for Treasure Artist due

The City of Sonoma’s Cultural and Fine Arts Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Sonoma Treasure Artist of the Year Award. First bestowed in 1983, honor recognizes outstanding achievement in an artistic medium including the performing, visual, theatrical, literary and craft arts.
The public is invited to nominate, in writing, individuals they feel would be worthy of the Sonoma Treasure Artist honor. Include a brief description of the artist’s work and contributions to the community, and reasons for the nomination. Nominations will be accepted in the office of the City Clerk, No. 1 The Plaza, Sonoma, CA 95476 (City Hall) through September 15. Call City Clerk Gay Rainsbarger at 933-2216 with any questions.
