A victim of sexual battery is suing her convicted Sonoma Valley coach in civil court, along with the soccer league and its former president.
Gregory Vance Tatton, 45, agreed to a plea deal and served eight months in jail for having sex with the girl, then aged 16, in 2007. He was released in April.
Now 19, the victim has filed a civil suit seeking unspecified damages for emotional and physical distress. Included in the suit are charges of alleged negligence against the Sonoma Valley Youth Soccer Association and its president at the time the crimes were committed.
The initial court date is set for October.
