Historic setting for league meeting

Posted on August 15, 2011 by Sonoma Valley Sun

The Sonoma League for Historic Preservation will host its quarterly meeting at the Victorian Garden Inn at 316 East Napa Street on Wed., Aug. 17 at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited.

The inn is the oldest Greek Revival house in Sonoma and features a tank house and other out-buildings which are remnants of its early history. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, the Inn is a must-see for visitors interested in historical sites.

Members of the League are invited as well as anyone interested in keeping Sonoma and its history alive. Wine and light refreshments will be served.

The Sonoma League for Historic Preservation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all volunteer organization. It has been devoted to the stewardship of Sonoma’s architectural heritage for over 40 years and has guarded the historic integrity of Sonoma’s buildings and neighborhoods through its many programs designed to maintain the distinct visual character we have come to know and enjoy.
