On a recent morning, Moldovan Academy’s new Junior Kindergarten students held a farmers market at the school, selling produce for pennies, nickels and dimes. The produce was donated from gardens of Moldovan Academy families and friends. Intended to be an exercise in math for these students, the mini market turned out to be a lesson in teamwork and confidence building as the children sold the produce to parents, teachers and fellow students. Next month the students will be selling items to raise money for a local charity.
