Bill Lynch, Jennifer Hainstock, Bill Brinton and David Good have joined the board of the Sonoma Hospital Foundation, bringing “a wealth of financial, development, strategic planning, communications, and legal experience,” said Selma Blanusa, foundation executive director.

Lynch is the retired former editor and publisher of The Sonoma Index-Tribune. A lifelong Sonoma Valley resident, he was born at Burndale Hospital, which was Sonoma’s first hospital. He has served on numerous community nonprofit boards and fund-raising efforts, including the recent successful drive to raise $11 million for the new ER and Surgery Center at Sonoma Valley Hospital.

Hainstock has been an attorney since 1992 and has an estate planning practice in Sonoma. She is a mentor with the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance and teaches English through the Sonoma County Library Literacy Program. Jennifer received her BA in Economics/Business from UCLA in and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah.

Bill Brinton, a Sonoma Valley resident since 1984, worked for Arthur Andersen and Company in New York and San Francisco in all three major departments, Audit, Tax and Consulting, before moving to Wells Fargo where he worked in Treasury, Marketing and National Lending covering Texas. After leaving the corporate world in the early 1980’s he became a ‘serial’ entrepreneur working in real estate property development, new home sales and syndication, venture capital and consumer goods.

David Good, who co-chaired the capital campaign and now chairs the hospital foundation board, brings to the board over 40 years’ experience in finance and strategic planning. He is president of Pan Pacific Management Group, a management consulting firm specializing in entrepreneurial and fast growing companies. He has been a Sonoma resident for 10 years, although his family roots here trace back to the early 70s.

The Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1982 dedicated to bringing health and well being to the residents of Sonoma Valley through philanthropic and volunteer support for Sonoma Valley Hospital. In addition to the recent capital campaign, the SVH Foundation has raised more than $7 million from individual donors, charitable foundations and corporations to enhance medical services, equipment and programs, and to help cover the Hospital’s cost of caring for patients who could otherwise not afford to pay.
