Congratulating the fifth grader are: Don Sebastiani, grandfather; Donny and Katie Sebastiani, parents; Margaret Forsythe, grandmother; and, in front, brother Ben. This was Lucca’s second consecutive year in the regionals, where he competed against 48 middle school students on January 26.
His finish in the top five earned him a spot in the Sonoma County Spelling Competition finals, to be held March 16 in Santa Rosa.
