Ane Carla Rovetta wins first Studio 35 call to artist

Sonoma based artist Ane Carla Rovetta has won Studio 35’s first call to artists.
The theme, “Farm to Canvas” requested that submitting Sonoma County artists celebrate Sonoma’s farmers’ markets, farms and gardens in their artwork. In total, 42 local artisans submitted works for a chance to have their work displayed at Studio 35.
Rovetta’s work, Mother & Son, depicts two Sonoma Valley cows enjoying the sunshine and each other’s company. The work is multi-media in medium. Rovetta used stinging nettle paint, willow charcoal and tule grass to complete the piece.
Mother & Son is on display at Studio 35 along with works by 10 other Sonoma County based artists, from now until August 2. 35 Patten St., Sonoma. studio35sonoma.com
