In an effort to try to get more books out to the community on an ongoing basis, the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library will debut a series of “Mini” book sales on Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10, 755 W. Napa St.
“The sales are limited in size and scope and presented in a way that hopefully allows particularly the ‘locals’ to browse and buy books in a more relaxed manner than our sometimes-crowded quarterly book sales,” said FOL member Tina Wolter.
The upcoming sale, for example, will feature fiction only, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3:30 on Saturday. There will be no “members only” preview. The usual pricing remains in place: $2 for hardcover, $1 for paperbacks.
Wolter said there will likely be a “super quickie” questionnaire asking for feedback from the patrons. “We’ll fine-tune things as we learn what works best for our particular setting and audience.
