I’m a sucker for Danish design and when I saw this decanter, while visiting the Danish-meets-California town of Solvang, I had to have it.
Created by Norm Architects + Orsig, the New Norm Winebreather Carafe has actually motivated me to decant my wine. All of it.
You must trust the decanter.
Simply open your wine bottle, plug the clean, hand-blown glass decanter on top of the wine bottle, hold the bottle and decanter, flip it so the decanter is on the table top, and watch your wine flow (without you holding on) into the decanter.
Voila, it’s decanted.
You can either serve it in the decanter (it also comes with a lid for later drinking), or flip it again and it return it back into the bottle for serving.
I used it recently at party I co-hosted and it was a hit – an eye-catcher. Guests were asking to try their hand at it with their own bottles of wine.
It’s elegant, made in Denmark, and will surely impress your guests – and it does the job at decanting. Retails at $50.
