It’s that time of the year again, when those of us who are Irish or of Irish descent celebrate our heritage, and those who aren’t – are Irish for a day. St. Patrick’s Day is Thursday, March 17.
Here are our top picks on where to spend St. Patrick’s day – from corned beef and cabbage to green beer.
1. Murphy’s Irish Pub’s annual St. Patrick’s Day party
Every year Murphy’s throws an infamous St. Patrick’s Day party. It is the place to see and be seen at. Wear your green and be prepared to dance to Irish-centric music all day and night and drink plenty of green beer.
Live music starts at 2 PM with the Live Oak Ceili Band, followed by performances by the Keenan School of Dance, Buachaill Bu och, and the Highway Poets who close out the festivities starting at 7:30 PM. 4. Rossi’s 1906 hosts the Pogues (kinda) and family fun
One of my favorite bands of all time is the Pogues, the legendary Irish punk and pop rock band. For St. Patrick’s Day, Rossi’s 1906 will be hosting the Gentleman Soldiers, a Pogues cover band. Additional live music takes place, too!
Rossi’s will be serving up corned beef and additional special Irish-centric menu items and there will be face painting, green beer, and the outdoor beer garden will be open with plenty of family friendly games and activities. Starts at 3 PM. 401 Grove St., Sonoma | rossis1906.com
3. CornerStone Sonoma & Park 121
Park 121, located at CornerStone Sonoma, will be serving up a unique twist on St. Patrick’s Day food: corned beef and cabbage pizza. For $20 you can get a pizza, a brownie AND a beer!
