The Mexican Mule

Moscow Mules have reached maximum peak in trendiness, so it’s high time that a new cocktail graces your copper mug: the Mexican Mule.

This twist on a Moscow Mule takes you to Mexico with the use of tequila. This cocktail was created by Tony at La Casa Restaurant exclusively for the Sun. Order it by name at La Casa or try it at home yourself!

Ingredients

  • Juice from one lime
  • Angostura bitters
  • Pasote Reposado tequila (see accompanying article)
  • Ginger beer
  • Ice
  • A fancy copper mug for serving (or any old glass will do)

Directions

  1. Pour lime juice and 2 shakes of Angostura bitters into the glass
  2. Mix in 2 oz. of Pasote Reposado
  3. Add in a few ice cubes (leave room for ginger beer)
  4. Fill it up with ginger beer
  5. Stir until mixed

Enjoy!
