Buena Vista Winery continues to introduce unique wine tasting experiences focused on enticing the senses and their new program, which pairs live music with Buena Vista wines, is no exception.
The historic winery will host performances by local musicians Steel and Ivory, on the last weekend of every month, in the winery’s historic caves that were built in 1864.
Buena Vista wines are paired with musical compositions by Mozart, Chopin, Vivaldi, Beethoven and others, as performed by the duo comprising pianist Dr. Kristie Janczyk and violinist Matthew Vincent.
Staff guide guests through the experience, providing what the winery calls “a sensory experience that allows the participants to taste and experience wine and music in ways that they never have before.”
This program has been a long time in the making according to Buena Vista’s Proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset, who dreamed up the concept in 2011, after purchasing the winery. “Wine and music together is the perfect marriage of discovery and to do it in this extraordinary place brings the history and these famous composers back to life. Once the music begins you will be transported to another time and place through what you experience with all your senses,” shared Boisset.
The next music and wine pairing experience will take place August 26-28 at Buena Vista Winery. Reservations are required and prices start at $75 and performances last 90 minutes. 800-926-1266, buenavistawinery.com.
