Dunbar Do-Right

May 26-28: Damian Ramirez-Long (as General Custer) and Abby Sparks (Calamity Jane) are among the fifth-grade players in Dunbar School’s reprise of “A Bad Day at Gopher’s Breath,” a family-friendly melodrama complete with sound effects, period costumes, slap-stick antics, a dastardly sheriff, a robber turned hero, and a femme fatale.

As directed by Kate Kennedy, the plot has more twists than the villain’s mustache. Audience participation, as in ‘hisses’ and ‘boos’ at timely moments, is very much encouraged. May 26-28. Concessions and picnic set-up at 5 p.m., show at 6 p.m. on the school’s outdoor Haver Stage, 11700 Dunbar Road in Glen Ellen. Special BBQ dinner supported by the Glen Ellen Fire Department prior to the Saturday performance, with food available at 4:30 p.m.
