Christmas in July in Sonoma

Posted on July 19, 2019 by Sonoma Valley Sun
Transcendence Theatre Company presents “Christmas in July” event at Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma, a special event on July 29 that includes a free screening of Elf, the Will Ferrell comedy.

The free, all-ages event, “Christmas in July” begins at 6 p.m. in front of the Sebastiani Theatre with a marketplace of unique products created by professional actors and theater professionals including whimsical items from “Huggable Cactus,” created by Broadway actor Jeremy Greenbaum.

Why Christmas in July? Transcendence is already in the giving mood, in anticipation of its annual holiday show “Transcendence’s Broadway Holiday Spectacular” in December.
Doors of the theater open at 6:45 p.m. with festivities including a visitor from the North Pole; a white elephant gift exchange for film goers and a wrapping station; wine and beverages for sale; and a raffle.
The film presentation begins at 7:15 p.m. with favorite clips from past “Transcendence’s Broadway Holiday Spectacular” performances followed by the hilarious, modern holiday fantasy Elf.

Will Ferrell stars as an overgrown human child raised by Santa’s elves, who sets off on a journey through seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, the sea of swirly-twirly gum drops and New York’s Lincoln Tunnel to find his real father.

Admission is free, but reservations are required.  For reservations visit BestHolidaysEver.org or 877.424.1414.

Event attendees can sign up for purchasing the “Family 4 Pack,”

Transcendence’s special ticket promotion featuring a $99 package including four general seat tickets to any performance of the 2019 presentations of “Transcendence’s Broadway Holiday Spectacular” in Santa Rosa or Yountville.
