New website centralizes info for much-needed Sonoma Valley volunteers

Sonoma Valley needs a whole new volunteer work force.

Now that the mostly older, longtime volunteer base needs to stay home, Sustainable Sonoma and Sonoma Ecology Center have launched SonomaValleyVolunteers.org, to recruit and deploy volunteers – especially younger volunteers – to meet emerging immediate needs like packaging and delivering food.

The effort is designed to meet immediate critical needs for food and assistance, then stay in place as a long-term resource. 

Nonprofits and service organizations have posted their available openings on the site.
