Crews execute a controlled burn at Sonoma Valley Regional Park on June 15, now evidenced by blackened hills and grass along Highway 12. The burn of 22 acres targeted invasive species while reducing wildfire risk. County Park officials report the effort went off “without a hitch”. The park was soon reopened to the public “for physically distant recreation.”
