Vendors take to Plaza street to launch ‘Sonoma Promenade’

Sonoma Al Fresco, the city’s program to boost business by letting restaurants operate on Sonoma Plaza, expands onto a pedestrian-only portion of First Street East this weekend to create ‘Sonoma Promenade.’

Local retail, restaurants and wine will array between East Napa and East Spain Street (a.k.a. the Sebastiani Theatre side of the Square.

Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22nd
5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
North Half of First Street East, between East Spain and East Napa streets.

That strip will be temporarily closed to traffic and parking from 3:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The south half of First Street East will remain open.

Following this initial launch, Sonoma Promenade will take place Thursday – Sunday evenings, 5 to 10 p.m. For more information and updates visit www.sonomavalley.com/sonoma-promenade.

Sonoma Promenade is organized in partnership with the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce, Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau, Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Alliance and the City of Sonoma and is part of the City’s Sonoma Al Fresco program that was created to lessen the impact of COVID-19 on Sonoma businesses by allowing businesses to temporarily add or expand their outside service options to accommodate COVID-19 related health standards.
