Friday, February 25, 4pm

Robinson is an American novelist, one of the foremost living writers of science fiction. Robinson began publishing novels in 1984. His work has been described as “humanist science fiction” and “literary science fiction.” His award-winning books include New York 2140, The Mars Trilogy, and his latest, The Ministry for the Future, which we read in the Praxis Book Club and will discuss in this interview.

The Ministry for the Future is a profound vision for how we could mitigate the climate crisis, but it also details everything we are up against economically, politically, and culturally. He presents real life examples that could change the course of history if we only heed them. Robinson holds a PhD. In English literature and has taught at UC Davis.
