Meet and greet with Sheriff candidate Carl Tennenbaum

Posted on February 28, 2022 by Sonoma Valley Sun
[Will Shonbrun and I] are c0-hosting an online meet and greet with Sheriff candidate for Sonoma County Sheriff, Carl Tennenbaum. Tuesday, March 8, 7 p.m. on Zoom.
Carl Tennenbaum was born and raised in San Francisco, where he resided until his retirement from the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) in 2013. He started out working for the San Francisco Department of Public Health as a paramedic with the city ambulance service. Later he joined the SF Police Department and walked beats in the Tenderloin, Bayview-Hunters Point, and Haight-Ashbury districts, where he embodied the concept of community police officer in his daily interactions with the public.
He has been a white collar crime investigator, a liason with the SF Housing Authority, a hostage negotiator, Administrative assistant to the Chief of Police, and a field training officer. He knows how to dialogue with the community with respect and intelligence and has years of experience deescalating conflicts. Tennenbaum  fully supports the strengthening of IOLERO (Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach) and was an early supporter of Measure P, which passed with 64% of community support.
Tennenbaum is a new kind of Sheriff and is exactly what Sonoma County needs now!
