Deb Carlen was kind, generous and a force to be reckoned with. She was a great gift to Sonoma’s creative community. Her [Creative Arts] column in The Sun was always entertaining and artfully displayed. It allowed so many in our community to have a voice by sharing their prose, photography and poetry.
I feel especially grateful for her kindness and support in publishing the articles and photos of the hikes my husband Russ and I shared. Her support helped me to gain more confidence in my writing. I miss her.
