In honor of George MacLeod

Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Alliance (SVVGA) and members of the wine and agricultural community gathered at Kenwood Park Plaza on April 15 to pay tribute to beloved Sonoma Valley grape grower and winery owner George MacLeod, who passed away in 2018. 

To honor the work of one of Sonoma Valley’s Legends, a tree was planted in the park and a plaque embedded in a boulder, nestled below, that pays tribute to MacLeod’s vibrant life and commitment to the Sonoma Valley. 

George was a founding member of SVVGA and helped to write the Alliance’s constitution, among other numerous contributions to the community. Family members, friends, colleagues, and peers of George shared memories and cherished stories.
