Sonoma Splash, the nonprofit that for years raised money for a community swimming pool, presents a check for $1.5 million to the Sonoma Valley Unified School District for a new aquatic center, now under construction at Sonoma Valley High School.

On site are, from left, SVHS Principal Molly Kiss; Splash board member Arden Kremer; SVUSD trustee Cathy Coleman; Splash board member and City Councilmember Madolyn Agrimonti; and SVUSD Superintendent Adrian Palazuelos.

The facility will have two pools, one for community use and one for students and sports.

“The Sonoma Splash Board is thrilled to partner with SVUSD to create a state-of-the-art aquatic center for the benefit of Sonoma Valley students and our community, said Mary Favaro of Splash. “We look forward to a September 2022 opening with a full schedule of student and community aquatic programs to serve students and the general public with a variety of swim programs.”
