A gentle walk in the park

On Saturday, July 9,  Jack London State Historic Park volunteers Kathy Hillback-Ely and Laura Blatt will lead a gentle summer morning hike along a meandering trail through the redwoods and historic orchard, returning through lush mixed evergreens.

This moderate round trip hike of approximately five miles includes some elevation gain and sections of uneven, rocky trail.  Participants are advised to wear sturdy shoes, bring water and snacks, and consider bringing hiking poles.

Limited to 12 participants, the group will meet in the ranch parking lot (to the right of the entrance kiosk) at 9 a.m.  The hike will conclude at around noon.  The hike will be cancelled in the event of extreme heat.

Tickets are $10 per person, in addition to $10 per car entry fee.
