Biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring lead viewers on a journey deep into their own experiences in the sciences, ranging from brutal harassment to years of subtle slights. Along the way, from cramped laboratories to spectacular field stations, we encounter scientific luminaries – including social scientists, neuroscientists, and psychologists – who provide new perspectives on how to make science itself more diverse, equitable, and open to all.

December 12, 6 p.m.

Homeward Bound – with Pets Lifeline; doors open at 5:00 p.m.; tickets are $10.

Join us for a screening of the hit classic Homeward Bound the Incredible Journey. We will be joined by some cuddly creatures form Pets Lifeline and you can also enjoy some free sweet treats and kids activities. A fun-loving American bulldog pup, a hilarious Himalayan cat, and a wise old golden retriever embark on a long trek through the rugged wilderness of the Sierra Nevada mountains in a quest to reach home and their beloved owners.
